Dr. Heidi Rootes, N.D.

Dr. Heidi Rootes completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University with a major in Human Anatomy and Physiology before returning home to Vancouver to complete a second degree at the University of British Columbia in Education. After teaching science and math at the secondary level for four years Dr. Rootes returned to school and received her medical training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.

Dr. Rootes has been the Naturopathic physician at Vitality Clinic since January 2006, at Squamish Therapeutics since 2009 and has recently joined the team of Naturopathic doctors at Integrative Healing Arts.

Dr. Rootes practices with a strong belief in prevention and follows the naturopathic principles of doctor as teacher, treat the whole person and focus on the cause of the condition. Following these beliefs Dr. Rootes is able to develop an individual treatment plan for each of her patients while educating them thus empowering people in their own healthcare.
